This is the list of restaurants we love and highly recommend in Mexico. We want to ensure that if you visit Mexico, you can have some excellent tips about where to eat and make the most of your travel experience in the country.
The chef is awesome, he spent a good amount of time at Mugaritz in Spain. Best to book ahead, but if you call on the same day, it might work, especially on weekdays.

Just go—it's not too expensive, and it's a fantastic way to enjoy well-cooked Mexican food in an unpretentious environment. It's very close to the experience of a traditional street vendor but with high-quality ingredients.

Of course, Pujol is a great restaurant. If you're coming from Sweden, it's not insanely expensive. If you didn't book a table in advance, you probably won't get one. BUT never lose hope. The last time we were there, we called on the same day and told them that if they had a table, anywhere, at any time, we would take it. Surprisingly, they had a table available for the same day, so do your best.

BEST TACOS EVER!
Just a 2-hour drive from Mexico City, Puebla is a great and beautiful city, but the tacos are so good that we don't care much about the city (as a tourist, you might).
Tell the taxi driver "Boulevard San Felipe cruzando con 15 de Mayo." Here are the coordinates to put in Google Maps: 3QCJ+22 Puebla, Mexico.
Order the following as it follows: "1 orden de Alpastor con todo, 1 gringa de alpastor, 1 orden de tacos de longaniza con suadero con ceboolitas POR FAVOR, 1 bong de Guayaba (if you don't like guayaba, it doesn't matter, order Guayaba)." It looks like a lot of food, but it's not when you consider you're going to eat there just once in your life. So, order it all and be happy; we are setting you up for success!

Amazing restaurant in Oaxaca! Just go and eat as much as possible; it's great, and you'll get authentic food as good as it can be. We love it, and you probably can just drop in.
